I'm a junior (11-17), how can I get started in tennis?

  • Team Challenge- Team Challenge is a fun, team competition aimed at mini and junior players in club programmes who are new or inexperienced to competition. The competition offers flexible event and scoring formats in addition to a number of fun prizes and giveaways to maximise the experience for the players on the day. All formats are team based and matches do not count for ratings and rankings.

  • Nature Valley Big Tennis Weekends- Nature Valley Big Tennis Weekends gets more people playing tennis through offering free opportunities to play. The Nature Valley Big Tennis Weekends will be hosted by venues up and down the country throughout the 2019 summer, with two nationally supported weekends in May (18 & 19) and July (20 & 21).

  • Schools Tennis- Speak to your school and see what tennis opportunities they offer. Want to do more to introduce tennis to your school? The Tennis Foundation offer a free schools tennis registration for schools to access a wide range of resources for free and they also offer a Schools Tennis Membership Scheme with a range of various benefits and support. The membership is ideal for teachers in schools who are looking to develop tennis provision at their school.

  • Find a tennis club near you- Looking for a club near you may be the perfect way to play tennis socially and find like minded players as the majority of clubs hold social sessions. By entering your postcode our find a court search will bring up clubs in your area where you can view what facilities they have on offer and provide contact details and even the club's website.

  • Find a Coach- The find a coach search tool is perfect if you want to locate coaches near you or in a specific area. You can also use filters to search by programmes the coach runs or age groups they teach. The find a coach tool only shows coaches who are accredited so ensures that a coach is qualified, insured and meets safe to practise standards.
