Help & FAQs

I'm interested in becoming a Line Umpire, how do I do this?

You will need to attend and pass a one day basic line umpire course which provides an introduction to line umpiring.

The day will be a combination of classroom and on court work and the course is a pass/fail dependent on your performance on the day.

The minimum age to take the course is 16.

2017 dates will be available on the website in due course (the demand for these courses are always very high). You can register your interest in completing a Line Umpire course via emailing the Officiating Support Team on officiatingsupport@lta.org.uk.

Once you have successfully completed the course you can apply for an LTA Officials License
