My club is 'Lapsed', does this mean we are not insured until we renew?

  • If your venue was registered in 2017/18, then we provide temporary insurance cover between the period 1st October - 30th November 2018 until you find time to complete your registration (i.e. if you were a registered venue in 2017/18 and you complete LTA Registration on 15th November 2018, then your insurance cover will be backdated so that you are also covered between the period of 1st October - 14th November 2018). However, if a claim is made in relation to your venue and a date in that period, your insurance will only be valid if you complete LTA Registration by the 30th November 2018 deadline.
  • If your venue is not registered by the 30th November 2018 deadline, then insurance cover will have effectively lapsed on 30th September 2018 (the end of the 2017/18 year), leaving you liable for any claims made from 1st October 2018 onwards.
  • If you complete Registration for 2018/19 any time after the 30th November 2018 deadline (i.e. any date between 1st December 2018 and 30th September 2019), then your insurance cover will NOT be backdated to 1st October, but will instead only be valid from the date on which you complete LTA Registration. This applies even if you have been a registered venue in 2017/18.
