Help & FAQs

My child is very bright. Can they study for more than six GSCE’s / five National 5s?

Studying for 6 GCSE’s/National’s will provide players with the best opportunity to balance a demanding tennis training schedule whilst ensuring minimum requirements are met to allow players the option to study at a UK University or US College further down the line. However, where possible, the National Academies would work with the partner school to provide an academic solution suitable for each player, including the potential to undertake additional GCSE’s or National 5s.  This would be at the discretion of the National Academy and partner school with decisions based on numerous factors including the ability to fully commit to the tennis and academic programmes, subject options and hours of homework needed,  as well as each player’s own personal development and wellbeing needs.
