How can my child (10 and under) get started in tennis?
- Mini Tennis- With smaller courts, nets, rackets and lower bouncing balls, mini tennis is the perfect introduction to tennis for children between 3 and 10 years old. Split into Tots Tennis (3-5 years), Mini Red (8 & Under), Mini Orange (9 & Under) and Mini Green (10 & Under), Mini Tennis is the perfect introduction to the game for aspiring tennis stars.
- Tennis for Kids- In 2017, 20,000 children in Great Britain took part in our tennis starter course for kids. This year, lessons are open to kids aged between 4 and 11, and will be available from coaches near you, all year round. For just £25 every child will receive 6 high-quality lessons, developed by experts at the LTA, as well as a special Tennis for Kids Babolat racket, ball set, and personalised T-shirt delivered right to their door.

- Great British Tennis Weekend- Great British Tennis Weekend gets more people playing tennis through offering free opportunities to play. The Great British Tennis Weekends will be hosted by venues up and down the country throughout the 2017 summer, with two nationally supported weekends in May (13th & 14th) and July (22nd & 23rd).
- Miss-Hits- Miss-Hits is an introduction to tennis for young girls aged 5-8, designed by Judy Murray and launched in partnership with the LTA to get more girls playing. It consists of a 12 week (2 x 6 week blocks), all–girl, indoor programme delivered by a female coach. It includes tailored content to create a fun and sociable environment to make girls comfortable and involved.
Find a Coach- The find a coach search tool is perfect if you want to locate coaches near you or in a specific area. You can also use filters to search by programmes the coach runs or age groups they teach. The find a coach tool only shows coaches who are accredited so ensures that a coach is qualified, insured and meets safe to practise standards.
